Pigmund's other wall

Eight free games for drying time
between coats of paint

While each coat on the alley walls dries, Pigmund sits on the scaffold and plays one of the eight free browser games he keeps pinned to the bricks. There is a quiet medieval village, two dusty frontiers, a modern war you steer by hand, a football club, a racing team, an airline and a market of rival factories, and most of them keep turning over while the tab is shut.

My Little Farmies

A medieval village that grows the way a mural does, one patient layer at a time. You sow the fields, keep the workshops humming and work each harvest up into finished goods for the townsfolk. Production chains, not battles, push the settlement forward, so nobody ever marches in to spoil what you have made.

Makers who would sooner craft than fight.

All 8: free to start, with optional purchases sold inside the games.

01

Free from the first stroke

There is no fee to join any of the eight, and Pigmund has played each one for long stretches without paying; the village, the frontiers, the war, the two teams, the airline and the factories all arrive whole.

Somewhere in each game sits an optional shop of shortcuts and extras. Lots of seasoned players ignore it entirely, and most of these games let a household put spending limits on an account.

02

Starting a fresh canvas

Each button sends a fresh tab to the official site of that game's own studio, where registering costs nothing and an email address is usually all it wants.

A tutorial greets you in nearly every one. Follow it through to its last step, since it lays out the menus and the economy bit by bit, much like a base coat going on before the colour.

03

Between coats and long sittings

Several of the eight carry on after you close the tab: workshops produce, jobs complete, factories run and fixtures are played. A peek over breakfast and another after supper keeps everything ticking along.

Spend the quick visits collecting, queueing up orders and checking in with your league or fort. Keep the longer sittings for weighty choices, like a fresh route, a transfer bid or a raid across the map.

04

Keeping your login clean

Every login is tied to one studio, so keep it for that studio's own published web address and nowhere else. Pigmund mixes a different password for every game, much as he mixes a new colour for each wall, and he switches on the extra sign-in check whenever one exists.

Nobody who genuinely works for a studio will ask for your password. Offers of free premium currency for your login details are bait for the account itself, so leave it unanswered and report it.

Why these eight earned a patch of wall

  • All eight load straight into a browser on a desktop or laptop, so Pigmund's first go never waited on an installer.
  • None of them charges to sign up, and Pigmund has played all eight for weeks on end without spending a penny.
  • Most keep building, producing or racing once the tab is closed, which means even a glance between two coats moves things on.
  • Every studio here has kept its world going for years, which brings lively communities and a steady trickle of updates.

No. All eight open in a browser on a computer, and some of them have an official mobile app too if you prefer one.

Yes. Signing up is free across the whole wall, and you can carry on without spending; any in-game purchase is up to you.

No. Each comes from an independent studio that builds and looks after it, and each button on this wall opens the official home it came from.

No. Separate studios run them, so you sign up with each game on its own, and every sign-up is free.

My Little Farmies, Online Soccer Manager, iGP Manager and Airlines Manager: Tycoon each have an official app sitting alongside the browser version. War Commander, WildGuns, The West and Kapilands are browser games, so a computer is the comfortable choice for those.

Online Soccer Manager, where a fixture takes only minutes to set up, or My Little Farmies for a calm spell in the fields. Kapilands, Airlines Manager: Tycoon and WildGuns pay back longer planning.

In most of them, yes. Both team managers pit you against other managers, The West has forts, WildGuns has rival nations, War Commander has raids and Kapilands shares one market between player firms. My Little Farmies goes at your own pace.
